In General Discussion
In May this year, the government quoted an EIA report stating that most of the sites in the Old Course of Fanling Golf Course “have ecological value” were not suitable for development, which once reduced the original development of only 32 hectares and then shrunk again. The rationale for this decision is questionable , but the Government seems to have decided to keep only 9 hectares of the old site for public housing development. After the plan has been greatly reduced, it is fundamentally contrary to Li Jiachao's "speed and volume increase" who just took office. Last Friday, a newspaper quoted a radio interview conducted by a researcher of the "Local Research Institute" (even the name was wrong), saying job email list that the researcher "does not insist on building houses on the relevant land" [ 3] Consider. However, we found that the land to the north of Fan Kam Highway and on both sides of Castle Peak Highway (Ku Tung Section) actually has greater potential. Part of the site is the driving range in the golf course, together with the land bank of real estate developers and the brownfield group in the north of Castle Peak Road (Kudong Section), with an area of 24.5 hectares. The shrinking area is worth studying its development potential and providing additional public housing HOS flats to tens of thousands of Hong Kong residents.
