Hello everyone! My name is Katrina Nguyen, and I am currently a pharmacy student at Western University of Health Sciences. I have always been passionate about healthcare and serving the community, and I am proud to be a part of OCCHA. Being impressed with the idea “Thriving for a better and healthier community” by OCCHA, I am looking forward to promoting public health and improving access to healthcare for the community.

Julisa Diaz

My name is Julisa Diaz. I graduated from UC Irvine in 2019 and my career goal is to become a physician assistant. I am passionate about science and helping others attain a healthier life. OCCHA has been a fundamental part in my growth as an individual and as an aspiring healthcare professional. I strive to make a positive impact on the health disparities faced by underserved communities. I am honored to be part of the OCCHA team that is dedicated to promoting a healthier community!

Ivy Tran

Hello everyone! My name is Ivy Tran, and I am a third-year pharmacy student at Western University of Health Sciences.  I am very excited to be a member of OCCHA’s Executive Board who is truly talented and passionate in helping the underserved population. As a team, we aim to raise more disease awareness and to provide the patients with up-to-date information, so they can actively participate in improving their health and staying healthy. I strongly believe that we will all do our best to uphold the motto “Thriving for a better and healthier community.”

Hi everyone! I graduated from UC San Diego and I currently aspire to become a healthcare provider. OCCHA has allowed me to merge my passions for serving the local community, learning medicine, and embracing my heritage. I am excited to partner with underserved populations by increasing healthcare access and educating others about their health presented through a lens of cultural humility. I look forward to working with OCCHA and community members to thrive for a better and healthier community.

Hi everyone! I graduated from a medical school back in Vietnam in 2017. Came to the U.S., shortly after, I had never thought that I can, once again, pursue a career in medicine. OCCHA provides me the opportunity to help the local community and network with other health students and providers. I look forward to making my community better and healthier every day.

Amy Pham

Hello everyone, my name is Amy Pham and I graduated from California State University, Long Beach in May 2020, with a Bachelors in Community Health Science. Growing up, I took part in many extracurricular activities that involved giving back to my community. Through these experiences, I have developed a passion for helping others in my community. My career goal is to become a diagnostic medical sonographer. Through OCCHA, I am determined to learn and grow as an individual in hopes of becoming a competent healthcare provider.

I am a lifelong learner with a goal of helping others in maintaining and improving their health. As an immigrant who faced various social and medical inequality, I am driven to provide high-quality health to my community. I am a nursing student at Golden West Community College. OCCHA is an integral part of my career path since I am able to learn more about the medical field while performing meaningful acts towards my community. I hope to spread our organization's message in creating a better community.

My name is Hoang Pham. I am a third-year Osteopathic Medical Student at Touro University California. Currently, I have been rotating at Chino Valley Medical Center to solidify my knowledge and further explore my interest in different aspects of medicine. Being a part of OCCHA has helped me be the medical student I am today. Therefore, I always want to give back to OCCHA and inspire others to be caring and compassionate future providers. If you have any questions regarding my journey as a pre-med and medical student or need any advice, please do not hesitate to ask. I do not bite.

Welcome to OCCHA! My name is Hanh, and I am currently a first-year Osteopathic Medical Student at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. I aspire to become a healthcare provider with the hope to help others and make meaningful differences in their lives. I am very excited to be part of the OCCHA team where our goal is to improve healthcare in our community and to help individuals and families adapt to the multitude of life changes that they face. Welcome to the Orange County Community Health Affiliation (OCCHA)! My name is Hung Tran and I am a first year medical student. I am truly honored and excited to become a part of the OCCHA’s Advisory Board. With the slogan “Thriving for a better and healthier community”, I believe that we, together as a medical team, will be able to provide better quality and access to healthcare for the community, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

My goal in the future is to become a physician who can provide care, support, and advocacy for my patients in times of difficulties. I am very happy and proud to be a part of OCCHA which allows me to work with the underserved community while helping reduce health disparities and spreading health awareness.
