ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH AFFILIATION
WHO IS OCCHA & WHAT DO WE DO?
OCCHA members and boards are immigrants and/or have close relatives or friends that are immigrants that have gone through hardships when first immigrated to the United States. Our Health affiliation holds free health screening with no insurance or no personal identification requirements. OCCHA believes that everyone at every socioeconomic standing or every race/ethnicity deserves the right and access to frequent healthcare. We hold our annual free health screening every 3 months (in the month of January, April, July, and October) at Value Scripts Pharmacy and other locations in Santa Ana, Anaheim, etc. Our pre-health undergraduates, Pharmacy students, Professors, and Pharmacists will perform screening for hypertension and diabetes as well as measuring your body fat content and BMI. Our Pharmacists will also have medication consultation if you have questions or concerns.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PREPARE PRIOR AND DURING YOUR SCREENING SESSION?
Our screening sessions are completely free, and you do not need to make an appointment prior to your screening session. All you need to do is to show up at our session at the time and location addressed in our flyer. However, if you plan to have a glucose test, please do not eat breakfast or have any sugary drinks prior to your screening session (recommendation: no food or sugary drinks at least 8 hours prior to glucose test).
